“Changing the world, one child and one community at a time

Some people join the Kiwanis Club of Clovis because they like what we do for our community. Helping children, seniors and others who need assistance has been our mission for 40 years. Our members also enjoy the camaraderie, friendships and fun that come from working on projects together. Things like building and donating brand new bicycles for deserving children, hosting a full Christmas dinner for 400 seniors, providing the groceries to make a full Thanksgiving feast for our neighbors who could not otherwise afford it, or throwing a huge party to raise money for our programs, and a number of other projects. We raise money for student scholarships and to support organizations such as The Clovis Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, and Special Olympics. Our club sponsors youth programs at local elementary, middle and high schools, as well as the college level.

Members also make new friends by attending our weekly breakfast meetings which feature interesting speakers, as well as other events. Service and friendship are what makes our very diverse group GREAT. Take a look around our site to learn more. We would love to have you join and become involved with the Kiwanis Club of Clovis.

The Kiwanis Club of Clovis is proud to be the sponsoring organization of Miss Katie McDougald, Clovis Rodeo Queen, 2016.

My name is Katie McDougald. I am a 19 year-old sophomore at Fresno State majoring in Animal Science with the intent of pursuing a career in range management. Born in Clovis and raised on my family’s cattle ranch in O’Neals, my life has always involved riding horses and working cattle, which led to my passion for rodeo. Crowned Miss Coarsegold Rodeo Queen in 2014, I travelled the state representing my community. My high school FFA experience included a Natural Resources Team State Championship and earning an American FFA Degree. Currently, I am a member of the Fresno State Rodeo Team and Young Cattlemen’s Association. My interests in horses, cattle, and rodeo have led to my involvement in and advocacy of the western lifestyle. I have been attending the Clovis Rodeo my entire life and it is an honor to represent this historic California rodeo as “Miss Clovis Rodeo”.
